This privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") applies to McCurdy.com or any of its affiliates or related apps (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy describes how McCurdy Real Estate & Auction, LLC ("McCurdy") collects and uses information provided by users of the Website. By visiting or using the Website, the user understands and agrees to be legally bound by the Privacy Policy.
What information does McCurdy collect?
McCurdy collects information from users when they register or create an account on the Website, subscribe to a newsletter or auction alert, fill out a form, or register to bid at an auction. This information may include: name, business name, mailing address, phone number, fax number, and email address. When bidding at an online auction, credit card and shipping information may also be requested.
When visiting the Website, our web server automatically recognizes, where possible, the web site or email (and associated email address) referring you to the Website. In order to monitor and improve the Website as well as personalize user experience through direct online advertising, McCurdy tracks various other technical details about a user's visit, such as the user's Internet protocol (IP) address, operating system, browser information, device type, internet service provider (ISP), date/time stamp, clickstream data, user interactions, mouse events (including movements, location, and clicks), keypresses, and which web pages you visit. McCurdy uses this data to gather analytics and to participate in ad networks.
What does McCurdy use user information for?
Information collected by McCurdy is used to provide access to the products and services requested by users and may be used to provide users information that McCurdy thinks the user may have an interest in through marketing outreach to the user directly or indirectly. It is also used to improve the content of the Website. If users provide a postal address, the user may receive periodic post cards or brochures related to properties or events. User information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company, without the user's consent, other than for the purposes of delivering requested services or generally marketing McCurdy product or services in which McCurdy believes a user may be interested. McCurdy does not sell or rent user telephone numbers or email address.
How does McCurdy use social media?
The Website may allow users to connect and share information with various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Pinterest. These features may require McCurdy to implement cookies, plug-ins and/or APIs provided by such social media platforms to facilitate the communications and features. McCurdy may share information provided by users or collected about users' use of the Website with these platforms, which information becomes subject to the social media platforms' privacy and data policies. In addition, by choosing to use any third party social media platform or choosing to share content or communications with any social media platform, users allow McCurdy to share information with the designated social media platform. McCurdy cannot control any policies or terms of such third party platform and cannot be responsible for any use of users' information or content by a third party platform.
McCurdy may also use the advertising services and networks offered by these social media platforms to deliver ad content. Use of these services requires the social media platform to implement cookies or pixels to deliver ads to users while online with such platforms.
How does McCurdy protect user information?
McCurdy has implemented a variety of administrative, technical, and physical security measures to maintain the safety of users' personal information. McCurdy utilizes a secured server and sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Personal user information is encrypted into our database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to McCurdy systems. All McCurdy employees are required to keep user information confidential. McCurdy systems are housed in secure facilities and access to data by McCurdy employees is limited to a "need to know" basis. McCurdy systems are password protected and monitored for unauthorized access. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure and McCurdy cannot guarantee absolute security.
Does McCurdy use cookies?
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to users' computer hard drive through the users web browser (if allowed by the user) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize the user's browser and capture and remember certain information.
McCurdy uses cookies to help McCurdy remember, understand, and save user preferences for future visits, keep track of advertisements, and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that McCurdy can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. Registered Website account users may change their preferences by logging into their account. Users who no longer wish to receive communications from McCurdy may let McCurdy know by calling, sending an email, or by writing to McCurdy at the below postal address. Please provide the exact name and postal address and indicate which lists that McCurdy should remove the user from.

Occasionally, McCurdy include or offer third party products or services on the Website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. McCurdy has no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.

This Privacy Policy describes how McCurdy may share user information for marketing purposes. Users may contact McCurdy with any questions and, to the extent applicable, to request a list of third parties to whom McCurdy may disclose information for marketing purposes and the categories of information we may disclose.
Web Account Deletion
Web account users have the right to delete their data. Web account users wishing to delete their account may go to their main account page and click the red "Delete Account" button or make the account deletion request via email to auctions@mccurdy.com. auctions@mccurdy.com.
Children
The Website is not directed at children. In compliance with the requirements of the Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act, McCurdy does not solicit or knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age.
